Ottoman Officers

‘Here are some photographs of my ancestors, late Ottoman military officers, 1912 – 1918. As you may know, after the Latin alphabet was introduced to the young Turkish Republic in 1928, we cut our ties with Ottoman writing and, today, with the exception of small number of academics, no one is able to read or write the Ottoman language
