Concentrating on increase your output and decreasing your input can help you achieve weight loss. Consuming less calories can be achieve by eat more the right food and less the wrong food.
If you plan to lose weight and maintain then it is essential for you to have a proper diet. Meaning to say those diets, which makes you starve are out of the question because they cannot to maintain and it does more harm to your body than good. A diet should contain lots of fiber because they are filling and requires you to chew more, thus making your meal more satisfying. Fiber is also harder to digest so it would help you stay full longer and you would be less tempted to overeat. Counting calories is a hassle but when it comes to fruits and vegetables you can throw away that thought because they would make fulfill your hunger before you are able to overeat.
I will share with you some of the things I do to consume more good calories. Firstly you should choose dressings that are lower in fat and sugar content and try not to add too much because it will beat the purpose of having salad. When eating cereal you can add more fruits like bananas, strawberries and blueberries instead of adding more cereal. In the processing of making sandwich you can add more cucumbers, tomatoes and lettuce instead of more meat. When cooking scramble eggs you may add more spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes instead of adding more eggs.
Vegetables and fruits are classified as good calories but do take note of the way they are prepared as it might affect the amount of calorie you take in. Vegetables that are prepared by frying in addition to high calorie content sauces should be consumed with prudence. The healthier way to prepare them would be to steam/boil and using low fat dressings. When it comes to fruits be careful of over consuming dried fruits as they often contain added sugar making them high in calorie. It is best to consume fresh fruits, as you would be able to eat more. Do also take note that fruits juice has high sugar content and the absence of fiber makes it difficult to satisfy your hunger, so you should take that into consideration when you are taking the 2nd glass of juice. Only drink pure 100% fruit juice with no added sugar as it will still taste just as nice and healthier.
