Try counting calories and see for yourself the true “magic” to successful weightloss! Do you really want to lose weight? I am here to tell you that nothing else is going to work except to count every calorie that passes through your lips on a daily basis!
Why is this so? Here’s why:
A calorie is a measurement of energy. Our bodies require energy as fuel to stay nourished and to survive. When we feed our bodies more energy than what is needed, our bodies will store the excess to use for later. When our bodies store the excess for later, it stores it as fat. Imagine this cycle occurring day after day - week after week - year after year. All of a sudden, you cannot zip those jeans, you start shopping at Lane Bryant or the Big Mans Store and possibly stop having sex! Sorry - I don’t want to offend anyone. I am just trying to paint the real picture!
Controlling, Regulating and Counting Calories Are the “Magical” Key To Success
So how should calorie intake be controlled and regulated?
It really is very simple. It is going to take mostly discipline and focus ( paying close attention ) to how many calories and how often you are consuming them. Keep a daily journal and document everything you eat and the approximate calories. it is not as difficult as it seems - you will get used to it! : ) If you are like I was, I disregarded anyone telling me that I needed to eat smaller portions, more often each day to lose weight or to even maintain weight. I thought this was crazy, didn’t make sense and believed that I would gain weight. I was so wrong!
Just think about it.
Small portion meals feed your body with just enough calories that it requires right then to be absorbed and used. Nothing is left over to store for later, thus no fat storage! Then comes your next meal or snack a couple hours later. You do the same thing. Again, nothing gets stored. Pace your meals every couple hours to continue the cycle and to keep from getting overly hungry. Waiting too long between meals causes over-eating hence too many calories at once, thus stored fat for later! Here’s a great tip to remember and use daily, without fail to help keep you feeling full and at the same time get those recommended glasses of water down. Drink 12 ounces of water (about 1 coffee cup) before eating any of your scheduled meals or snacks. That will add up to 60 ounces and won’t even seem like you were trying! So now that you know that counting calories are the true key in order for you to shed pounds, get excited!
Today seems like the perfect day to start -Just pick your very own plan that fits your situation!
