World’s oldest living things…

“For the last five years Rachel Sussman has been on a quest to track down and photograph the oldest living things in the world - continuously living organisms 2000 years old and older. For this, she has been working with scientists and traveled almost all continents (Antarctica is next), bringing back an amazing collection of images including a Japanese cedar, predatory fungus, coral, clonal aspen, baobabs, subzero bacteria, and the visible canopy of an underground forest. A photographic celebration of the resilience of life.”
