I inherited an old Zorki-4 rangefinder from my grandpa. It can tell you everything about the Soviet way of doing things - it isn’t particularily attractive from a purely visual perspective, but it’s built like a tank and is effective in almost any conditions (the Soviets must’ve been overjoyed when they “borrowed” some pre-war German optical designs). I didn’t use it yet (I prefer Western and Japanese technology from that period), but as soon as I find a proper external light meter for it I’ll find out what it’s like to shoot with.
No Sputnik? Because how can you not include the stereoscopic Lomo in the selection?
