Plus Fours Routefinder, 1920s

‘The Plus Fours Routefinder was designed to be worn on the wrist, and the “maps” were printed on wooden rollers which were turned manually while driving. The device was intended to allow drivers to navigate around the UK, but with so few cars on the roads it never really took off.’
