    If I’m not mistaken, this picture appears in Agatha Christie’s autobiography.

    In The Man in the Brown Suit by Christie,published in 1924, the heroine, Anne Beddingfeld travels to South Africa and tries surfing. I wondered at that until I saw your picture.
